The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.               Psalm 19:7-10

A lot of us can sing these verses; funny how easy it is to remember when you set the words to music. :o)  I have found Evan remembers better when I associate something he can picture along with the verse.  He must be somewhat of a visual learner; definitely not an audio learner.  ;o)  I have been teaching Evan about Jesus: Jesus is the bread, the light, the rock, etc.  We have started now learning about the Word of God and its importance in our life.  We’ve learned the Word of God is a flashlight (Psalm 119:105), its water (Eph. 5:26), its a treasure box (Proverbs 2:1-6), its sweet as honey to the soul.  Best of all, we learn from the above passage it is able to convert the soul and make us wise.  I want Evan to truly learn to desire it more than gold.  His education isn’t about making him prepared to make money, but to come to know Christ and be a wise young man, meet for God’s use.  This is my goal as a Mom and seems like such a challenge some days, but I study and pray God gives me wisdom to instill these things in my precious son.

Wishing you ladies a clean house and a nap, and good success in reaching your goals. :o)
