As I ponder on the happenings of the past few months, with\nthe world virtually shut down by coronavirus, I look for God\u2019s purpose in it\nall and how He can use it. Revival has\nbeen my prayer and desire, but almost has seemed like an impossibility in my\nmind. It seems we are living in such\nperilous days. But God has been showing\nme some things from His Word that really reverberated in my mind and heart\ntoday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
First 2 Chronicles 7:14 is speaking to the Christian. God says if MY PEOPLE will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, he will hear from heaven and heal our land. God\u2019s people are the only ones that can be revived, lost people need to be made alive in the first place, so it seems responsibility for revival is on us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Secondly, as I studied Isaiah 30, God spoke to my heart about being\nstill and listening to God\u2019s Spirit. Are\nwe a people that are so busy we don\u2019t hear from God like we should? It says\nthey covered with a covering but not of my Spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isa 30:1<\/strong> Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt! <\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:3 \nTherefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in\nthe shadow of Egypt your<\/em> confusion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Where do we go for counsel and strength? Who is our hiding place in the storms of\nlife?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:7 \nFor the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have\nI cried concerning this, Their strength is<\/em>\nto sit still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:8 \nNow go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it\nmay be for the time to come for ever and ever: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:9 \nThat this is<\/em> a rebellious people,\nlying children, children that<\/em> will not\nhear the law of the LORD: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the\nprophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things,\nprophesy deceits: <\/p>\n\n\n\n God\u2019s voice is a still small voice. Is our life to noisy to hear from Him? Our strength is to sit still. Maybe in this quiet time in our world God wants\nHis people to Be Still and Know He is God. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Isa 30:15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of\nIsrael; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence\nshall be your strength: and ye would not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maybe the wicked ways we need to turn from as Christians is our own busyness and noisiness and just be still and let God speak to us. Maybe we need to quiet our own worthless opinions and knowledge, so He can speak. Maybe we need to Be still and Know Him and then rest in Him and have confidence in Him fresh and anew. Maybe this is the path to revival in our land. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:23 \nTurn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I\nwill make known my words unto you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:24 \nBecause I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and\nno man regarded; <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:25 \nBut ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:26 \nI also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:27 \nWhen your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a\nwhirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:28 \nThen shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me\nearly, but they shall not find me: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:29 \nFor that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:30 \nThey would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:31 \nTherefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled\nwith their own devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:32 \nFor the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity\nof fools shall destroy them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pro 1:33 \nBut whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from\nfear of evil. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As I ponder on the happenings of the past few months, with the world virtually shut down by coronavirus, I look for God\u2019s purpose in it all and how He can use it.
